Ok, this came up in August 2008, but I didn’t learn about it till yesterday: cleverbot.
cleverbot.com is a google-like interface that offers to chat with a bot. Born in 1982 under the name of Jabberwacky, this chatterbot was developed by a British programmer called Rollo Carpenter and has for sure evolved quite a bit ever since. It’s supposed to model the human learning process. I bet the bot has learned a lot about human, he even seems to know shit…
