Deer Tick is coming back with their third album, “the Black Dirt Sessions”, out on June 8th on Partisan Records. John Mc Cauley, Deer Tick frontman, is the kind of guy you could expect everything – spitting, vomitting, getting drunk & naked on stage… Their hometown Providence, Rhode Island, is probably boring, that’s maybe why Deer Tick are touring America so much. They’ve played their “asses off since the beginning and do not foresee slowing down anytime soon”. Check them out.
Niklas Roy lives in Berlin and he “loves to make things” as you may read on his website. He is the conceptor of the “International Dance Party”, “Flora & Harmony”, or the “Pocket Sound Performer”, among other bright inventions. And he is back today with Vektron Modular: a home made algorithmic synthesizer which you can swap the microcontroller modules on which the compositions are stored.
Broken Deer is Lindsay Dobbin’s solo project. She’s from the northern frontier of the Yukon, deep Canada. She’s definitely not a urban girl – she had a split cassette with a band called “Fuck Montreal“. Her weird and beautiful songs are mixed with field recordings, soundscapes, and lo-fi blips and bleeps to create a “celebration of nature, ritual, life and decay”.
Houston van gang Indian Jewelry new song makes you feel dirty and guilty. “No genre, no rules, no help”. New album “Totalled” to be released on We Are Free. And you are not.
