This is a great marketing plan!

Liebe ist für alle da, cover of the new Rammstein recordPetra Meier from the german federal departement of “Media Harmful to Young People” has just censored the new Rammstein opus, which will be taken away from record stores. In order to get the band’s 6th album “Liebe Ist Für Alle Da“, “Love is For Everyone” literally, you’re gonna have be over 18.

Out of the 11 songs of the record, Petra has focused her attention on the lyrical content of “Ich tu Dir Weh”, “I’m Hurting You”, and has declared that the album is “harmful” to young people with its provocative art, lyrics and song titles… She should have gone a bit further, she might have discovered other wise compositions such as  ”Frühling in Paris” (Springtime in Paris), or “Liebe ist für alle da” (Love is there for Everyone). Nothing really to be afraid of.

Anyway, people of the world, enjoy this, our german fellows are not as lucky as we are.

Gosh, this is good.

Info from the Guardian: “the Office for the Examination of Media Harmful to Young People only banned 116 albums last year, and 131 in 2007, they have ruled against 966 albums in 2009 so far. A spokesperson told Billboard this was due to a sharp increase in releases that “glorify violence or are of a racist or pornographic nature”.

50Last September, 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) released a book called “the 50th Law” where he (obviously) joins forces with Robert Greene, bestselling author of “The 48 Laws of Power” (which Kanye West and Young Buck have rapped about), to write a bible for success in life and work based on a single principle: fear nothing. We’ve already heard him talkin’ ’bout that matter in his album “Get Rich or Die Tryin”.
