We all know the common denominator between Nirvana and Foo-Fighters, but few of us remember drummer Dave Grohl’s first band, Scream. Formed in Northern Virginia in 1981, Scream belongs to the 80′s DC hardcore dream team with Minor Threat, the Bad Brains and State of Alert (Henry Rollins 1st band). This band was actualy the first on Dischord records to release a full length album.
Well, the band is about to face an audience again with their original lineup December the 20th at the Black Cat in DC. “Original” they said, which means, no Grohl, who’d joined the band in 86.
