When you want to be a musician, sometimes your upbringing can be pretty favorable to your career. Richie James Follin (26), is the lead vocalist of The Willowz. The band formed in Anaheim, CA in 2002. Richie is the son Heidi Follin, an art dealer, Dee Dee Ramone’s actualy. His step father is Paul Indrek Kostabi, founding member of 80′s punk band Youth Gone Mad, and Rob Zombie’s band mate at the beginning of White Zombie. As a matter of fact, Heidi became the manager of the band, Kostabi produced The Willowz and had Black Flag’s former singer Keith Morris performing on their record. It got signed on Dim Mak records in Los Angeles. Michel Gondry picked up the band for the Soundtrack of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” (2004), and offered to direct their 1st video “I Wonder”.
