WTF Is Wrong With Techno Producers?

Wonder why there hasn’t been any techno on The Drone?

Djs and producers simply don’t want to be interviewed! Too conscious of their precious image, too scared to answer a few questions, too busy to do it. Last week, interviewing french producer Danton Eeprom, I was talking with my caremaman, who was assuming that maybe because techno hasn’t gotten its share of TV coverage compared to other genres, the scene naturally evolved without the help of cameras.

The fact is, I’m just back from the Rex club-Paris, where I had an appointment with Berghain resident Shed (Berlin Germany), who suddenly decided he was not in the mood for an interview anymore, and who simply sent me back home. Who the hell you think you are? That’s just courtesy speaking…

Anyway, now I begin to understand why the only videos we can find on techno scencers look like commercials. Below, Shed’s mate Marcel Dettmann talking about how Cd players make such a difference… Neat!
